Traditional Teriyaki Beef Jerky

Ingredients:
– 1 lb of beef, thinly sliced
– 1 cup of soy sauce
– 1/2 cup of brown sugar
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 tsp of ginger, grated
– 1 tsp of sesame oil
– 1/4 tsp of black pepper
– 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes

Steps:
1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create the marinade.
2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, making sure each piece is coated evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
3. Preheat the dehydrator to 160°F (70°C).
4. Remove the marinated beef from the fridge and lay the slices flat on the dehydrator trays, making sure they are not touching.
5. Dry the beef for 4-6 hours, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

– 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper

1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sriracha sauce, lime juice, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, making sure each piece is coated evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
